UUM ONLINE: "Continue to develop with this University because this is an extraordinary place that Allah has chosen for all of us to be here," said Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr Haim Hilman Abdullah Thursday morning during the Vice-Chancellor's Session with the Support Staff.

According to him, despite different ranks and positions, support staff continue to work for the university. This could be a prayer from a parent asking for their children to be honoured.

"We do not need to be a vice-chancellor or a lecturer to enter a university as long as we are noble in Allah's and the Messenger's eyes.

"UUM is now 38 years old. Do not think UUM cannot grow, and do not lose sight of the spirit that helped build this campus once upon a time," he said.

All UUM support staff are advised to do their work diligently. Maintain integrity to ensure that the work is completed to the best of your ability.

Do not disappear from the office during the workday, but expect your regular pay check at the end of the month, added Prof. Dr Haim Hilman.

“Work diligently and help promote educational offerings by UUM. The academic programme is our "core business," so faculty and administrative staff must strive to increase tuition revenue by, among other things, teaching them more effectively and providing better services to students. Make everyone who comes to visit UUM feel special.

"We can all succeed if everyone contributes and works hard. So, make certain that the work is completed and that you do your best," he said at Mu'adzam Shah Hall in front of nearly 1000 support staff.

According to Haim Hilman, UUM is no longer lagging behind the main sector and has instead emerged as a major player. Keep learning new things no matter how busy one gets, and do not settle for doing the same old things over and over again.

In addition, he extended an invitation to the entire support staff to work together on UUM's growth, stressing that it is a place to "build life."

The event also included a Q&A session, a presentation of certificates of appreciation, and a lucky draw, as well as the presentation of 86 promotion letters based on excellence (TBK) to the Support Group.
