In developing and advancing Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), to greater heights, the newly appointed 2019 key office bearer s have been entrusted with the responsibility of fulfilling their mandate and strengthening their commitment to serving the nation and the people.
Director of Student Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hendrik Lamsali who was previously the Dean of COB Student Development and Alumni (PPA COB) said that being entrusted with a new post would be tough, but he will indeed try his best.
"I will try to meet with the Vice-Chancellor's wish of empowerment and student autonomy, which will in turn facilitate the university in realizing this aspiration," he said this at the ceremony where letters of appointment were presented to 2019 UUM Key Office Bearers at the EDC Hotel and Resorts recently.
Meanwhile, the newly appointed Director of the Institute of Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad’s Thoughts (IPDM), Prof. Dr. Zakaria Abas said he accepted the post as a responsibility entrusted upon him.
The newly appointed Dean of COB Centre of Student Development and Alumni (PPA) , Dr. Herman Shah Anuar extended his gratitude to the university management team for putting their trust in him in taking on the new post.
"I hope to be able to rally together and create a community of students who are marketable and instilled with values, culture and fulfil the aspirations of the nation.
"This is indeed a big responsibility but with the help of colleagues and university management, I will do my best and work hard at it," said the former Director of Alumni and Corporate Relations cum Director of the Master of Business Administration (MBA) Programme at Othman Yeop Abdullah Graduate School of Business (OYAGSB).
The Presentation of Letters of Appointment to the 2019 UUM Key Office Bearers Ceremony saw 68 key office bearers including 14 Principals of Students Residential Halls (Inasis) receiving their respective letters of appointment from the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Bashawir Abdul Ghani.
